Economic Outlook with DAVY

Once again the Association was delighted to welcome Davy for its annual economic review at a genuinely unprecented time for the Irish and global economy, with the ongoing uncertainty surrounding around Covid-19 compounded by the possibility of a no-deal Brexit and the upcoming US elections.

Donough Kilmurray, Chief Investment Officer at Davy lent his expert insights on the prospects for the Irish and global economy.

Donough has overall responsibility for Davy’s wealth management portfolios. This encompasses asset allocation, manager selection and portfolio construction. Prior to joining Davy, he led the Investment Strategy Group for Goldman Sachs in London. In this role he was responsible for advising clients and overseeing client portfolios in the Private Wealth Management division across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Donough joined Goldman Sachs in New York in 2000, working in investment research and strategy.  He earned a PhD in Mathematics and a MS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000, and graduated from University College Dublin with a MSc in Mathematics in 1993.
